Drought Hitting Six Flags

Drought Hitting Six Flags
(WSB Radio) Six flags Over Georgia is feeling the impact of the drought. The theme park may be forced to close three of its more popular rides this season because of the drought.

A Six flags officials says park managers met with a representative of the Cobb County Water System to discuss possible restrictions.

The rides discussed were Skull Island, Splashwater Falls and Thunder River. Six Flags spokeswoman Hela Sheth says Cobb officials did not mention any other attractions during the meeting. Cobb officials would only say general scenarios about park restrictions were discussed at the meeting, which Six Flags representatives had requested.

Officials did not discuss when a decision would be made about whether Six Flags can operate the three rides.

Six Flags Over Georgia is scheduled to open weekends beginning March 1 and daily on May 23.
